Four-Part Leadership & Self-Discovery Program

Lead from Within

A small-group coaching experience that helps high school students understand who they are, recognize what matters to them, and lead their high school years with greater confidence and intention.

Your child doesn’t need another extracurricular. They need to discover the thread that connects the experiences they already have.

When students understand the values, strengths, and motivations behind what they do, they can make more intentional choices and communicate their story with greater confidence.

Why This Program

High school asks students to make important choices before they fully understand themselves.

Students are encouraged to join activities, take challenging classes, pursue leadership positions, and begin thinking about college and their future.

But they are rarely given the time or guidance to reflect on the deeper questions behind those decisions:

  • What matters most to me?
  • What are my natural strengths?
  • What experiences have shaped me?
  • Why am I drawn to the activities I choose?
  • What kind of person—and leader—do I want to become?

Lead from Within gives students the structure, language, and coaching support to begin answering those questions.

The Transformation

What students will gain

The goal is not to turn every student into the same type of leader. It is to help each student recognize how they lead best and how they want to grow.

A stronger sense of self

Students identify the values, strengths, experiences, and motivations that shape who they are.

Greater confidence

Students gain language for expressing who they are and begin trusting their own ideas, choices, and leadership style.

More intentional choices

Students learn to evaluate activities and opportunities based on genuine interest, purpose, and personal growth.

A practical growth plan

Students leave with clear goals and specific ways to practice leadership during the coming school year.

The Four-Part Experience

From self-discovery to intentional action

01

Redefining Leadership

Students challenge narrow ideas about leadership and explore the many ways people influence, contribute, and create change.

  • Leadership beyond titles and positions
  • Qualities students admire in others
  • Personal definitions of leadership
  • Strengths they may already be using
02

Knowing Yourself

Through guided reflection, students begin identifying the values, experiences, and personal qualities that shape who they are.

  • Core values and personal strengths
  • Identity and formative experiences
  • Personality as a tool for reflection
  • The thread connecting their interests
03

Building Confidence Through Growth

Students examine how beliefs about ability, failure, and perfection influence their choices and willingness to take action.

  • Fixed versus growth mindset patterns
  • Fear of failure and perfectionism
  • Reframing setbacks
  • Taking one intentional stretch step
04

Leading with Purpose

Students bring their discoveries together and create a meaningful plan for how they want to grow and contribute during the year ahead.

  • A personal leadership vision
  • Two to three growth priorities
  • A plan for taking initiative
  • Practical accountability strategies

Self-Discovery Assessment

Students reflect on their strengths, interests, experiences, confidence, goals, and areas for growth before the first session.

Personal Leadership Blueprint

A personalized summary of the student’s strengths, values, leadership tendencies, growth areas, and recommended next steps.

  • Four live, interactive 75-minute Zoom sessions
  • Small cohort limited to six students
  • Guided peer discussions and individual reflection
  • Personalized instructor observations
  • A brief parent summary following the program
Why Start Now?

Self-awareness should not begin during college application season.

Many students do not begin reflecting deeply on who they are until they are asked to write a college essay.

Suddenly, they are expected to explain what matters to them, how they have grown, what distinguishes them, and how their experiences connect.

When students begin this work earlier, they are better able to:

  • Choose activities that genuinely reflect their interests
  • Recognize meaningful growth while it is happening
  • Pursue leadership in ways that feel authentic
  • Communicate their ideas with greater confidence
  • Build a coherent story over time—not manufacture one later
Who It Is For

A space for thoughtful students who are still discovering their direction.

Students do not need to hold a formal leadership title to participate.

This program may be especially helpful for a student who:

  • Is thoughtful but does not always speak up
  • Wants to become more confident
  • Is unsure what makes them unique
  • Participates in activities but cannot yet explain what connects them
  • Is beginning to explore leadership opportunities
  • Feels pressure to do more without knowing what truly matters to them
  • Would benefit from guided reflection and encouragement

Enrollment Is Limited

Give your student the space to discover who they are becoming.

Confidence does not come from having every answer. It develops when students understand their strengths, take meaningful action, learn through challenges, and begin trusting their own voice.
